Houston's schools are perfectly suited to handle the task of producing fine graduates in broadcasting fields. Rice University hosts a center for multimedia communication in support of its humanities department. The Art Institute of Houston offers training in interactive media design and media arts & animation, and Houston Baptist University offers programs in mass media.

Broadcasting-related fields in Houston have a postitive outlook for at least the next several years. Media and communication workers should experience a 14.3% increase between 2002 and 2012. This means that the industry will come to employ 400 workers in Houston by that time. Entertainers, performers, and related workers should experience a 12.5% increase in demand in their sectors, making for a total of around 450 jobs in those industries.
