Houston Community College has close to 20 different allied health programs. Texas Woman's University has a master's and doctoral degree programs in physical and occupational therapy, while Texas Southern University offers respiratory therapy and medical technology degrees. Healthcare support occupations are expected to grow 45%, including increases of 54% for occupational and physical therapist assistants and aides, 43% for dental assistants, and a whopping 76% for medical assistants.
