Why Houston is a Great Place to Study Language

Houston is the ninth highest-ranked city in America for the number of foreign-born citizens. Approximately 28% of the population was born outside the United States. Since many of these people don't speak fluent English, this opens opportunities for people pursuing a foreign language degree or ESL. Spanish is the primary language spoken in Houston, but more Asian and European languages are being found here. The rich cultural diversity offers students opportunities to experience languages and culture.
